COFFEE PRODUCING COUNTRIES
The excellent quality of the Caffè Aiello blends is deeply rooted in the careful selection of the raw materials, performed in the best coffee producing countries in the world: Brazil, Central America, Central Africa and India.
In particular, the countries which supply the biggest quantities of coffee are Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Ethiopia and Peru for Arabica, and Vietnam and India for Robusta.
There are more than 20 million coffee farms in the world and these are often small farmers who may only harvest a few bags of coffee per year.
This aspect makes complicated and risky for the roaster to supply coffee directly to the farmer.

Values
Caffè Aiello has always operated through extremely reliable and expert international intermediaries who have an excellent knowledge of areas where coffee is grown worldwide.
Coffee is a natural product and therefore subject to the differences in climate of the regions in which it is grown.
To ensure that the organoleptic profile of its blends is always the same, raw beans used to make Caffè Aiello are chosen year by year based on the characteristics of the land and climate conditions which allows a correct development of the coffee plant.
Indeed, the plant requires soil that is slightly acidic and full of nutritive substances and a suitable climate, characterised by warmth, shade, rain and humidity.

BRAZIL
Brazil is the biggest producer of the Arabica variety in the world. The crops in Brazilian highlands are favored by a perfect climate characterised by the alternation of rainy and dry periods.

ETHIOPIA
Ethiopia is where coffee has its origins. Coffee plants here grows wild in the shade of other types of vegetation and thanks to a unique micro-climate conditions and soil composition. Human activity is required only for harvesting and drying. A good after-taste, a full body and a sweet aroma are the main characteristics of the coffee varieties produced in this country.

GUATEMALA
Fine varieties of Arabica quality coffee grows in the mountain areas of Guatemala where nature is still uncontaminated. A prominent acidity, chocolatey aroma and rather spicy scent distinguish the coffee produced in this country.

HONDURAS
The natural Arabica variety that grows in Honduras is light and slightly acidic, characteristics that make it particularly suitable for balancing other qualities of other coffee variety.

INDIA
In India, Robusta is the main coffee variety. Its quality is one of the best in the world. Strong and full-bodied, coffee produced here also features chocolatey notes capable of giving the product a pleasant after-taste.

VIETNAM
The production of coffee in Vietnam has grown considerably,becoming the biggest producer of Robusta coffee in the world and the second biggest coffee producer overall.
A success gained thanks to its- after-taste, particularly sweet for a Robusta variety and its strong full body.

COLOMBIA
A climate characterised by mild temperatures allows Colombia to produce the best quality coffee. Precisely the particular environmental conditions allows harvesting throughout the whole year. Arabica plants are the most popular and renowned for gentle and light tones.

PERU
Coffee production in Peru benefits from the micro-climate ideal for cultivating a delicious, light-weight coffee. Peruvian coffee is Arabica variety only, which is appreciated all over the world for sweetness, aroma and quality overall.
